On Saturday, the weather was beautiful. So we took the kids to Brown Lee Park, and let them play.
Our neighbors came, and brought their daughter's kites they had got for Easter.
It was a pretty nice day for kite flying! Not like super awesome trick kite flying, ( not that I know how to do that anyway!) but windy enough for a kite to stay up in the air with minimal effort.
Wilson loved it for a good 15 minutes. And for the memory book: his first time to fly a kite!
Alas, the lure of bigger kids to go follow, soon pulled him away from kite flying. But it was cute!
He then spent the rest of the time, climbing the huge rock, and freaking everyone out. Since he was the littlest kid up there, and well, it definitely looks iffy seeing a not yet 3 year old, who doesn't talk well, up on a very tall, fake rock.
I was actually more worried for the other kids, who kept trying to "help" him, or make him go back down.
Sadly, we had a very loud meltdown when it was time to leave. Oh, toddlerhood and your fickle ways.
