Our new toy.

So after much frustration with my old Kodak camera, I found out that Best Buy through Deal Tree does a trade in program.
I looked into it and while I could've made more money if I had maybe sold it on something like craigslist I decided to trade in my old camera and really old ipod. I didn't get much back but with old electronics you hardly can make any money back.
I had an old 20 GB Ipod Classic and got 30 dollars for it and only 37 dollars for my camera.

So with 67.00 and after researching what was going to be the best buy for the amount we wanted to spend we went to best buy today and bought the Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS ELPH.
It was on sale at Best Buy which made it even more exciting. There were 2 other powershots also on sale one for 199.99 and one for 229.99.
After talking with the salesman we decided that 12.0 megapixel vs. 10.0 megapixel isnt really that important enough for us to spend the extra 50.00 and the 229.99 had far more features for people who are more camera savvy and that is something I wasn't that interested in trying to learn.

I can't wait to play around with it and already am digging the fact that I don't have to wait like 10 seconds for a picture to take. I also can see the picture quality difference as well compared to our old camera.

Late Night Etsy Buy!

So I love etsy. I constantly surf it looking for things for gifts, for myself, and now for baby stuff!
Well I found the cutest prints and just had to buy them. Well I didn't have to buy them but I did anyways!Since we live in an apartment, we won't be decorating the babies room as much as I would like. No painting and trying not to spend too much.

I will hopefully be having a friend from work do something for me painting wise and he and I talked about how since we might move soon I would want something I could move. So he might paint me a mural of some sort.

Anyways back to my find. I found these adorable prints that I will try to find some frames for that would go great on the wall. They are gender neutral, simple, and in my opinion super cute!
I got the one you see up top in an 8x10 and then 2 smaller ones in 5x7 which look like

The bad thing is I want to buy more but I will try to restrain myself. I want to buy a wall decal as well which will be nice because most of them are reusable now so when we do end up moving all I will have to do is take down the hangings and take down the decal and slap them back up wherever else we may end up.

This is the decal that I am pretty sure I am going to buy and put over the crib. I really love the whole sleepy time/dreaming stuff. I can't wait to put all this together and have my sweet little man! I know he won't care where or what his stuff looks like but it makes me happy :)

A Letter to Wilson.

Dear Wilson,
In what seems like a long time but in reality not so long, you will be entering our lives in a new way.
Right now you are growing in mommy's belly and your daddy and I can feel you kick and press what we think is your head against my belly.
I keep thinking how 4 and a half months are going to fly by and I am excited, nervous, hopeful.

Your daddy and I knew we wanted to add to our family right away and were beyond thrilled when we learned you would be coming into our lives. You have been loved from the first moment we knew you had entered our lives. I know we are still trying to figure out everything you are going to need, what you aren't going to need, what we should buy, where we will be when you get here, are we making the right decisions for you? But all those things don't matter.

What does matter is that we love you, and that we have an amazing love for each other. I hope we can raise you and you can not only feel that love but be able to share in it, grow in it, and know what it is. We hope we can raise you to be a loving and kind person. We can't wait to see what kind of personality you are going to have. Who are you going to look like more? Are you going to love video games like your daddy? Are you going to get into everything and sometimes drive your mommy crazy? Your mommy is hoping you won't be bald like she was.

You are the most important thing in our lives. I hope one day when you are old enough to read this and understand, you will know that you are loved beyond any words I could ever even try to write out.

Love,

Your Mom

Wilson's theme.

So along with cribs, I started to try to get ideas about what I wanted his theme to be. I'm not going to lie if we were having a girl I probably wouldn't have had a hard time picking out a theme. I adore almost all the girl beddings and nursery themes.
But for boys, I'm just not quite there. I didn't like anything that had to do with Cars or sports or if I did. I didn't like the colors. I found a lot of the boy stuff to be too bright. I wanted to have something that would be soothing and calming for my little soon to be Hellion.
I also don't really love the color brown and that is a big fad right now with baby bedding. Chocolate brown with everything! Plus with our crib already brown I didnt think it would look right. Or at least in my mind it wouldn't look right.
I did like lambs for animals and I thought that would be a cute theme to go with. I found a bedding set which was quite expensive though and I just wasn't willing to spend that much.
So back to the drawing board.
I thought about registering for one but I'll be honest, most people buy little things for baby showers. (Clothes, diapers, bibs)
I really doubted anyone was going to want to spend 100 bucks for a 4 piece bedding set at target. Basically I didnt really like the selection and I didn't like the price I was going to have to pay for if I bought it at said Target/Babies R US/walmart.
So I started doing the next best thing. Surfing the internet, and more specifically Amazon! My new best friend!

I started searching just baby boy beddings and seeing what I could find. I originially fell in love with this bedding. It was a 9 piece set and would've cost me 150.00 dollars. I actually thought the price wasn't that bad since I would be spending about the same for only half the stuff. But I kept searching and ended up finding one that looks almost exactly like it! and guess what? For only 45.00 dollars! It is also a 9 piece bedding set so I'm getting almost everything the same and only paid 1/3 of the price!

So of course I went with the cheaper set. I'm not gonna lie I like the colors a little bit more in the more expensive bedding but it's something I can live with. I can't wait to get it in person and get everything all set up.

Well thats a whole nother post though. The big debate on if I should even decorate a room or not.
As of right now our spare bedroom is filled with a drumset that takes up a lot of space and my old desk. Plus we still have no idea when we are moving so I'm debating on even decorating a bunch. I might just wait until I know we are going to move for a little while. But like I said a whole nother post!

What are you?

So I'm a sucker for doing anything I can fill out. I enjoy reading other friends and families and I happened to come across this one I thought would be fun to fill out.

I am: a wife, daughter, sister, friend, hopefully a mom.

I think: all over the place and sometimes too much.

I have: the best husband a girl could ask for!

I wish: to have a happy and healthy baby and an easy labor and more money! :)

I hate: beating myself up over things I did wrong. Close minded-ness.

I miss: warm weather, my arizona friends, my best friend Shawna.

I fear: losing the ones I love.

I hear: Andy playing 1 vs. 100 on xbox

I smell: our apartment.

I crave: attention, hello kitty, and now baby boy stuff.

I search: for baby stuff

I wonder: what Wilson is going to look like, what kind of personality will he have? Where are we going to be in a year?

I regret: not thinking things through. Not listening to myself enough.

I love: snuggling with Andy, feeling Wilson wiggle and kick around.

I ache: in my legs and back!

I am not: perfect.

I try: to be better with our finances, smarter with decisions I make, better in my thoughts.

I believe: in a thing called love.

I dance: if I have some drinks in me. Rhythm comes awkwardly to me but I love to have a good time. I'd rather look like an idiot and have fun than sit or stand not doing anything.

I sing: in the car, silly nonsense songs to Andy.

I cry: not often enough.

I fight: with myself sometimes.

I lose: my Patience sometimes with my husband. Need to get better with that.

I never: clean enough. There is always something that needs to be cleaned.

I always: try to have a good time and stay in a good mood.

I confuse: my husband sometimes with my way of thinking.

I listen: but sometimes I don't hear. I need to get better at that.

I can usually be found: at work. Or in front of my pc or on the couch at home.

I need: to be more active! Yuck to the weather making me want to do nothing.

I am happy: when I feel Wilson kicking.

I imagine: our son, where are lives are going!

Our first official purchase!

So for weeks now I have been scouring the web. Trying to pick out a crib that would fit us best. Reading reviews, comparing prices, looking at tons of different websites. All in all, a very tiring and time consuming effort.

Well today after another session of web surfing I finally picked the crib and consulted with Andy and we decided to purchase it!

I was on the fence about whether or not I wanted a drop side or non drop side crib, a convertible or non convertible crib. But I think I got exactly what I wanted.

Something simple and modern but classic looking at the same time. I decided I didn't want to do the drop side crib because the longer I can have Wilson in the crib the better for us and our sanity! LOL

It is a convertible though so that is nice and if Wilson starts becoming a wild boy and climbing out of his crib all the time I guess that's when I'll finally convert it into a toddler bed.

I was reluctant to buy a convertible crib because from most I saw I would have to buy conversion rails for some of them. Which was extra money I did not want to spend on.

This crib will convert to the toddler bed and no rails needed. It will then convert to a full size headboard where I would have to buy a full size bed frame. But I would have to buy that anyways and I can buy it for a lot cheaper than the conversion rails that some cribs sell. I saw one selling their full size conversion rails for almost 120.00 dollars!

I'm not sure that once Wilson is big enough to use the full size bed we will let him though. Of course by the time we start having other children we might like the crib so much we might just use it for baby number 2 or 3.

I guess time will tell about that. But anyways we got the crib and mattress for free shipping and only spend 281.00! I'm very happy about the price and the fact that this is for the crib AND mattress. We should be getting the crib and mattress in a week. I can't wait to see it in person and see how hard it's going to be trying to match the color wood with other furniture.

That looks to be the only problem I have with the crib it came in either dark walnut which is what I picked and Cappucino which is like a lighter wood color? I have no idea. It looks like its not red like cherry but not dark like Espresso furniture is.

Once I see it in person though I'll be able to figure out what color of the rest of the furniture I will need to get. I'm only planning on getting a changing table and a decent size dresser though but it looks like I will have to really look around hard for those. Fun times shopping for Wilson!

4d video

Decided to update my blog as it is no longer the holidays. I'm sure I'll play around with it some more when I find cuter backgrounds. Still trying to find that perfect in between where it's not too girly since this is supposed to be a blog about our lives together. But since I'm (Anna) the one who blogs I can make it however I want right?

Well I posted a little video of Wilson but I have more on my cd. This one that I am sharing is of Wilson in 4d.

Its a bit longer and you can kinda see him move around a bit but since he was being a bit stubborn and pressing his face against the uterus it's not as defined around his face as it could be.

I'm hoping maybe I can convince Andy to go later in my pregnancy and go to an elective U/S place so we can see Wilson with his features more defined. We will see if I get my way.

Anyways here's another video of our little boy! Enjoy!
