Okay so I know it's actually already May. A couple of my friends posted this, and considering my age, I got this reference, and started singing the song, reverting back to my 16 year old self. Anyways, I'm sharing it again, here on my blog. For my own personal giggles, someday I'll come back to this post, and once again, remember that once upon a time, I was young.
Anyways, it's now May! My baby boy is getting closer to turning 3. My adopted nephew, Jack will be turning 3, 3 days before Wilson. It's a little bittersweet though, I know my best friend and I would've loved to plan some birthday parties together! If we could agree on a birthday party theme!
Wilson's is going to be Angry Birds!
Going to be a little more relaxed, not really going to try to do a whole bunch. I have hopefully another 3 more birthdays before Wilson starts demanding the Chuck E Cheese birthday parties. Okay, so maybe that last part won't happen that way. At least, I'm trying to raise him not to be that way.
But right now, he is going through a demanding phase. See examples below:
"Gimme hand, Mommy!"
"I want snuggles, Mommy!"
"Book! More book, Mommy!"
"Gimme hug!"
"Gimme kiss!"
AWWWWWWWW. Okay, I'm totally fine with him demanding ALL of those things. I ask him to ask me nicely though, but since he's still behind on talking, I normally can't get him to say the whole thing over again. He normally just goes, "Pweeeassee?" Which is enough for me!
Still, no signs of being ready for potty training. I thought that he would be ready by 3, but honestly, I'm not interested in trying to force him, and that's pretty much what I would be doing to him. If he showed a little more interest in wanting to sit on the potty, instead of screaming "No, I NOT POTTY." Maybe, then I would push for it.
I'm hoping soon though, he will show me he's ready, or more interested. I haven't started bribing yet, but that's pretty much my only idea on how to get him to be slightly interested. He doesn't even care when he watches his potty trained friends go to the bathroom. I thought that for sure would motivate him. He loves following the big kids around, and doing what they are doing. So color me shocked, when he still told me no. *sigh*
On his actual birthday, we will be going in for his now yearly checkup. I can't wait to see how much he has grown. He's eating so much better now. We can now get him to eat pretty much at every meal, although he is way more distractable, when we go out, or eat with company.
On a random side note, Wilson is now wearing all 3t clothing and is wearing a 7.5 shoes. He can wear his size 8s but he doesn't have especially chubby feet, so he doesn't fill them out very well.
I guess I should be glad my kids don't have chubby feet? It's hard enough trying to get the shoes on a squirmy toddler, let alone trying to shove them on some chubby baby feets.
Wilson also got his first haircut at the barber shop. But I wasn't that impressed with the haircut. So we probably won't go there again.
And that's all for now, in my random blogging session!
