22 weeks!

How far along? 22 weeks!
Weight gain/loss: 120.8 I'm just gonna go ahead and say +5 pounds. I am really starting to think my scale must be broken! How can I weigh so little???
Maternity clothes? Still not really anything. My shirts still don't fit me at all and my shorts are still easy to fit into. Too hot to wear anything else other than shorts and comfy clothes which fit me all throughout my pregnancy last time.
Stretch marks? None
Sleep? Definitely uncomfortable now, I'm normally a belly sleeper and with the belly explosion, I now have to sleep on my side. There is now a pillow in between that I lay on in between Andy and I. I call it my "barrier pillow"
Best moment this week? Getting baby girl clothes! and mostly for free!
Food cravings: I want to eat everything! Of course! Love love love fresh fruit though.
Gender: Baby Girl!!!!
Belly button in or out? Still in but starting to stretch out.
Movement? Lots of kicks, nudges, pokes. She is a hyper one in there!
What I miss? Sleeping on the belly easily.
What I'm looking forward to: Getting to buy more baby girl stuff!!

The picture says it all!

Andy and I are over the moon about adding a little girl to our family. I don't want to sound ungrateful, because every baby is a joy, but I was really worried I would have only boys!

The back story is Andy is the middle of 3 boys, who's father is the middle of 3 boys, who's father is the middle of 3 boys!

So as you can see I was worried about what I had married into!

Now that I know I'm having a girl I can breathe a sigh of relief that I get to be a mom to a sweet little girl!

It's not about the ruffles or pink for me though, it's about getting to have a mother/daughter relationship I never had.

My mom is Korean, and I am American, growing up I wished my mom understood things better. I wished that I had an American mom that understood english, or at least could READ it!

She's my mom and I love her for who she is. I'm proud to be half-Korean and would love to know more about that part of me! But at the end of the day she is who she is, Korean and just her in general, and I am me.

My parents divorced right about when I was 14 years old, so pretty much the critical time where you both love and hate your mother, but you need her during those teen years and I didn't have her. I didn't really have much of either parent at that time.

I'm so excited to be able to be there for my daughter, even if she screams and cries at me, and slams the door in my face, tells me I'm the worst mom ever, for not letting her put on make up, or letting her stay out late, or letting her wear what all the other girls are wearing.

Oh, it will be hard, but it will be an experience I will treasure. I don't know any mother/daughter relationship that is perfect. I'm not expecting mine to be either, for all I know baby girl will be a complete tomboy, who HATES hello kitty. (cry!) She could have a personality that just completely clashes with mine! We might fight like cats and dogs and I'll have to remind myself "I wanted a girl!"

But she completes me. She completes the family I wanted to have, and the life I wanted to have. Even if that life involves lack of sleep from having two under two, constant fighting between the two, Andy and I just being completely exhausted all the time, wondering how we will get the money for -whatever is the coolest most expensive toy at the moment-.

But that life will also involve a little boy holding his daddy's hand, and a little girl holding her mommy's hand. Cuddling with two kids on a couch, half asleep watching a movie that has probably been watched a hundred times already. I'm ready for a lifetime of all those moments and I'm just so happy I get to have them.

Swagbucks!

I don't know if anyone else uses swagbucks but I've been using it for a couple months now and have made myself 15 FREE dollars on Amazon.com

I normally do seraches using swagbucks and earn anywhere from 6-10 points randomnly and try to do a survey every now and then. I have mostly earned them all from just searching though!

Search & Win

There are tons of stuff you can redeem your points for but I save mine up to 450 points and then redeem it for the amazon $5 gift card. (basically a free $5 dollars!)

Here's what I bought completely free with .01 left over from my free 5 dollars:

Summer Infant Bibbity Bib!

The amazing Bibbity Rinse & Roll bib is made with a unique, flexible material that gently confirms to your child's body and adjusts for a custom fit from 6 months to 2 years. To keep the mess off your baby, the Bibbity is 100% waterproof and spills are caught by the built in scoop before landing on your child's lap. Made in the USA with FDA compliant materials that are safe for your baby.

Right now this bib is on sale for 4.99 with free Amazon Prime shipping!

I literally got this bib in less than 2 days and it was all for completely free!

This bib has been really great as well. Let's face it, no bib will actually catch all the crumbs your little one will make but this one is soooo much easier to clean! I literally rinse it off and it's ready to go again.

I bought a couple other "crumb catcher" bibs and after I would rinse them out the back which was kind of clothy and the velcro would still be wet and I didn't want Wilson to wear them all wet.

So this one has been a great investment!

I still have 10 more dollars to spend but I'm saving them all up for right now in case there is something I really want.

If you don't swagbucks you totally should though!

Let's compare.

It's very odd to me that right now I weigh less than I did with my first pregnancy and yet I feel like I look bigger?

So I'm going to compare pictures and see if there is a difference or if it's just in my head.

Here I am at 20 weeks with Wilson:

And here I am 20 weeks with baby bean:

Looking at the two.. My belly definitely looks rounder this time. Interesting!

20 Weeks

How far along?
20 weeks!
Weight gain/loss: 120.0 looks like I finally have started the inevitable weight gain!
+4 pounds now!
Maternity clothes? None yet. I'm still not fitting any of my maternity shirts and I'm filling my shorts out but not so bad that I need to wear the band with them.
Stretch marks? None
Sleep? Starting to get uncomfortable now, I'm normally a belly sleeper and with the belly explosion, I know I'm about to have to start laying on my side instead.
Best moment this week? The belly explosion that seemed to happen overnight!
Food cravings: I want to eat everything! Of course! Love love love fresh fruit though.
Gender: Unknown still! A little over a week left though!
Belly button in or out? Still in
Movement? Kicks and rolls! So far this one seems a bit more active than Wilson was.
What I miss? Sleeping on the belly easily.
What I'm looking forward to: Next Tuesday!!!!

Some fun guessing!

So of course when I was pregnant with Wilson I did some of those little online tests to predict his gender.

I got a lot of boy gender predictions and they were "right". I know that they don't really mean anything and really its a 50/50 chance of if you get a girl or a boy but isn't it interesting how there are some families where they are all boys or all girls?

I took the same gender test on thebump and it's telling me boy! While the other test I took tells me girl!

Looks like the chart is just as confused as I am! I've got a week and a half left until I find out though! I can't wait to find out so I can finally KNOW!

4th of July

Had a very nice low key 4th of July. We headed down to the beach with the little man and wondered how he would do with the fireworks. Last year he was far too newborn to take to fireworks so we didn't get to watch them.
As you can see from last here, he was just a little baby!!! Oh my goodness.

And now here he is all grown up! Still a little chunker though! =)

He did super for having such loud noises going off all the time. For some reason it's like he KNEW he was going to get to stay up late because he didn't take a nap until 5:45pm and we woke him up at 7pm when we got him ready to get going.

I think if he hadn't had such a late nap he might have been more apt to be cranky since the fireworks started at 9pm and he's normally asleep by then.

He did seem to enjoy looking at the fireworks but would get bored and started to play around with other stuff. I'm wondering how next year will go when he will be a little bit older, although we might be skipping that year as well since we will be having another little one! AHHH!!

03 July 2011

I am Old Navy's slave.

Seriously, I have an addiction to Old Navy and I can't stop it!

Just got some clothes yesterday so I thought I would share them!

Just bought this top and it is sooo adorable! I wish it would come in other prints besides a dark blue because I would buy it!

I bought this on clearance for less than 5 dollars. It's so hot here I doubt I will get to wear it but perhaps in the fall?

So the reason why I even bought anything from oldnavy.com is because I realized that I do not fit my bathing suits in the chest department anymore.

I had to order a new one that hopefully fits better and got this:

As someone who has a larger chest on a smaller frame. I normally have to buy mix and match sizes because I'm a Small on bottoms and well I used to think Medium on top.

I now think I am a Large on tops. Partly because yes I am pregnant, and if you are lucky your boobs get bigger while pregnant. Or if you are like me, hoping your boobs don't get any bigger!

The top covers fairly well but I have A LOT of cleavage going on. I think I might have been able to get away with a Extra Large. Which sounds so ridiculous! I'm a barely 5'4 woman having to get an Extra-Large top?!?!

I'm really restraining myself from buying more stuff from Old Navy though, but I just can't help it! I love that store so dang much!!
