So tonight I gave Wilson his dinner of leftover Italian chicken and noodles and gave him a small cup with a very small amount of water in it.
Side story: if I try to give Wilson water in a sippy cup, it sits out all day untouched.
He runs around, pokes at his dinner, runs around some more, sits down at his chair and starts actually drinking the water in his cup! (shocking)
We tell him good boy and praise him for sitting at his table instead of climbing and standing on it.
He gets all happy and starts to take another drink of water, only this time he took too big of a drink and some of it spills in the carpet.
He then goes "oh no!" and runs into the living room and grabs Callie's burp cloth and comes back and starts to wipe it up.
It's only water but Andy and I were just amazed. It was the most adult thing we've seen our 2 year old now do.
It was terribly cute and after he "wiped" it up he even threw the cloth back on the ottoman in the living room.
Oh stinks!

Wilson's is 2!
Here are pictures of Wilson's birthday party. I'll be honest, once people showed up it was really hard to remember to take pictures. Perhaps next time I'll try to designate someone to take pictures throughout so my scatter brain doesn't forget!! OOPS! Spending the rest of the day recuperating from the big birthday bash! :)

Sleepy time.
It's so odd to me that I already had Wilson sleeping through the night in his own crib already, at the same age as Callie.
He'd actually been sleeping through the night at 12 weeks.
With Callie everything has been different.
I breastfeed her. He was on formula. We swaddled Wilson, we don't with Callie.
BTW I'm actually blogging on my phone, while Callie is attached to me.
She just fell asleep and I haven't unlatched her yet.
I'm sad though. I napped with Wilson all the time but I was so eager to move him into his crib at night.
I wish I would've coslept with him. Even if he wasn't breastfeeding, just so I could be near him, like how I am with Callie.
I wish I could've been able to open my eyes and see him all chubby, sleeping sweetly.
I'm typing this up, and literally I have someone so beyond precious to me, nestled up against me, and I think about my son. Trying to recall all those precious moments with him when he was just a baby.
I might regret cosleeping so much later on. Callie might not like to sleep by herself. We might have night struggles trying to get her in bed. But when I look at that sleeping face.... I'll deal with it.

Wilson and Callie firsts.
So yesterday I did a first for both babies.
Firstly, I gave Callie her first taste of rice cereal.
She ate half of it okay. I made it a little runny so it was hard to spoon! This mommy is out of practice!
She started to get mad halfway through so I had to then feed the rest fast and give her the rest of my milk I had pumped to mix in with the cereal.
I think it made her more content and she slept pretty good last night. 6 hours through but I don't know if that was from the cereal since I gave that to her at like 6pm.
Then at 730 we went over to our good friends, the Stewarts, and had Rebecca cut Wilson's hair for the first time.
Almost 2 years old and never had a haircut although some friends and family would've cut it a lot sooner, I didn't think it was too long in the front. If it had been getting in his eyes we probably would've done it sooner. So Wilson was rocking a "mullet" for a while.
He did pretty good, I think. I got a lock saved and then the buzzing began.
He wasn't scared but I think more curious with what was going on. He wanted to turn his head when the shearer got close to his ears. The hardest was holding his head down to get the back and the sides by his ears. But not fussing just not used to it.
So now my baby boy looks like a big boy! I'm so curious to see if his hair is going to come in darker now or still light. Well he will never be a true blonde but he definitely has a dark blond hair.
So a first for both my babies and I finally can blog about it! Even if I did do it all on my phone! Thank you iPhone!
