9 months down!

Wilson is now 9 months old! AHH!!!

Since we came back from Texas, he had been sick, but has been getting better everyday and since turning 9 months, has started to become very.. I'm not sure what to call it? Active? Violent?

He will now stand if you pick him up and will grab your hair and lean in and bite your face! And or grab your face. And if you are wearing earrings or glasses? Oh boy.

He is still getting up on his hands and knees but just can't figure out how to start moving. He scoots backwards and can turn himself all around and of course roll every where but no actual crawling yet.

He is getting very adventerous in the bath too. Constantly trying to pull himself out of his little bath tub! AHH!!!

My little baby is quickly turning into a little boy baby, getting into everything!

His 9 month stats are:
Weight: 19 lb 4 oz
Height: 27.75 inches long

So far still on the "small" side of the growth chart but I constantly hear how Wilson must not skip meals because he is so big! LOL

I think it's those chubby cheeks.

So now I am already planning ahead for Wilson's 1st birthday!

I plan on incorporating some Korean Dol Ceremony Traditions like the Doljabi board and doing a memory board. If you are curious at all what a Korean Dol is like here's a wiki link to it.

I am debating on whether or not to spend the money or rent a Hanbok for him to wear for a little while and then changing him into something more American.

I've also debated on instead of doing a hanbok doing a cute little suit instead.

I'm definitely going to do a Doljabi Set because I love that tradition.

The only problem is... should I come back to Indiana where all his family would be? Or just do it down in Mississippi, where we wouldn't really know anyone quite yet.

Basically it all boils down to money. Ha-ha.

If it weren't Wilson's FIRST birthday, I'd easily have no problem doing it in Mississippi, but there is just something so special about it being his first. I want to really celebrate it and celebrate it big!

Must be the korean in me! Haha!

Typically the huge Korean birthdays for people are their First and their 60th birthday.

When I was 11 years old, my mother took us to Korea that summer. My halapoji (grandfather) had his 60th birthday. It was a HUGE ceremony and celebration! The whole family got to wear matching Hanboks in my favorite colors: Hot Pink and Pink! Yes, even the men wore it!

They hired a singer to entertain! Tons of food everywhere! Dancing, Drinking, and all around merriment!

Also some very traditional ceremonies happened. One which I actually got to participate in as it was the Grandchildren showing honor to their halapoji.

This has turned into quite a long post! I'll have to blog more about different ideas for Wilson's birthday.
